Thursday I took yet another trip to the Berkshires for work. Had a lunch meeting and because the usual spot in North Adams has shut down, we went to Mass MOCA (contemporary art museum) for lunch. Definitely a good new find - had a delicious roasted red pepper soup and 1/2 an avocado melt. Yum.
Friday, again headed to the Berkshires - Pittsfield this time. But this was for my television debut! I was the guest on the Denis Guyer show - he is the state representative for Ward 2 of the Berkshires. Needless to say, was ridiculously nervous. Big lights, microphone and lots of cameras. Much more hi-tech than I expected. :) It wasn't live and I only provided one major need for editing... totally lost my train of thought and forgot what I was talking about. Everyone was super nice and it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought. I'm supposed to get a copy of the show at some point. Not sure I even want to see it. Would rather just think that I sounded ok (I even have a cold so my voice is nice and low... haha) and didn't say anything really stupid. We'll see. Definitely an adventure - not sure that I'm ready for a career in tv, but it was a good experience.
Because I didn't want to be overwhelmed by the paparazzi :) last night, I decided to stay in (really couldn't be bothered... that, or I have a ridiculous cold). I watched Twilight, which I had rented from the library earlier this week. For those of you who don't know, I was embarrassingly (or not) a little obsessed with the books a few months ago. Enjoyed the movie... I pictured the places (and some of the people) a lot differently than portrayed on the flick. Preferred reading the book, but both the book and the movie are ridiculous guilty pleasures!
