SALSA

Today's new thing was a seriously fun one. I checked out a salsa dance class in Northampton. Every Wednesday night the Northampton Center for the Arts hosts dance classes and then a dance following the class. I've taken a few classes in the past, but I forgot how much I enjoyed salsa. There was a wide variety of people and abilities. The teacher was fantastic and I caught on pretty quickly. I didn't stay for the dance - watched for a little while, but want to be a bit more confident in my abilities (want to respect my potential dance partners' toes). I do think this will be a regular thing for me. They not only do salsa, but swing, lindy hop, cha cha and rumba.
